Gavin Adcock ended up taking his song "Deep End" a little too literally at a concert this week in Canada.

The country singer accidentally fell into the crowd while performing the 2023 track shirtless at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Canada, on Wednesday night.

In footage of the incident, which was captured by a fan and shared on TikTok, Adcock can be seen walking toward stage right as he sings the chorus of the song, "And I've been keeping up with the demons of this world."

Upon finishing the line, Adcock can be seen stumbling and then tumbling off the stage into the crowd.

Although Adcock lost his cowboy hat during the fall, the singer barely missed a beat, quickly regaining his composure and belting, "Yeah, I'm off the deep end."

The fan who posted the video captioned the clip, "@GavinAdcockMusic hope you're good after that fall, few too many" alongside the clinking beer steins emoji.

Adcock responded from his official account: "It happens," he wrote alongside two shaka sign emojis in the comments section.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a representative for Adcock for further information.

Adcock did not directly address the incident in his own social media posts, but two days after the fall, he did playfully acknowledge that he may occasionally enjoy a few too many drinks.

"How I move towards the fridge for 1 more after my girlfriend says I've had too much," he wrote in the text of a video of himself walking and sliding on a slick stage in slow motion set to his song "Last One to Know." The caption of the video read, "Let me live."

Adcock is currently in the middle of his Need To Tour, which will continue with dates in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Las Vegas, and Florida over the course of the next five weeks. He's also set to perform at Stagecoach in Indio, Calif., in April 2026, as part of a lineup that also includes Cody Johnson, Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, Pitbull, Journey, and Bush.

The singer released his third album, Own Worst Enemy, in August. The release came weeks after Adcock made headlines for criticizing Beyoncé for blocking country artists, including himself, from the top spots on country charts.

"That s--- ain't country music and it ain't ever been country music and it ain't gonna be country music," he said at a concert in June.

The singer previously shared that she decided to give up alcohol to "allow myself to take back my light"

Jessica Simpson is celebrating eight years of sobriety.

The multi-hyphenate, 45, marked the milestone on Saturday, Nov. 1, by sharing a reflective message on Instagram alongside a casual selfie of herself smiling at the camera.

"8 years ago today I made the choice to confront, to confess and to let go of the self-sabotaging parts of my life that I was choosing," Jessica wrote. "Making that decision allowed me to fully live in the pursuit of God's purpose for my life. Alcohol silenced my intuition, blocked my dreams and chased my circulating fears of complacency."

"Today I am clear. Today I am driven by faith," she continued. "Both fear and faith are something that we feel and may not see, I'm so happy I chose faith over fear. It was not in the fight that I found my strength, it was in the surrender."

Along with allowing her to reconnect with her intuition, the "I Wanna Love You" singer revealed earlier this year that her sobriety journey has also had major impacts on her songwriting. She said that back in 2016 and 2017, when she was writing "with some of the biggest hitmakers" in Los Angeles, she never released a few of her songs because they "just didn't feel like me."

"Every time I would write, I was a little afraid of myself. It was almost too much, especially because I was drinking at the time," Jessica told The Cut for a February cover story alongside sister Ashlee Simpson. "But once I gave up the alcohol, the fears just diminished. They went away."

Last August, the mom of three clapped back at a follower who told her to "STOP DRINKING" underneath an unrelated Instagram post celebrating her son Ace's 11th birthday.

"I haven't wanted or touched alcohol since October 2017 and it has been the best decision I've made for myself and for my family," Jessica wrote at the time. "Thank you for your concern, but you have me very misunderstood. Sending love your way."

As for why the musician made the decision to get sober?

While celebrating six years of sobriety on Instagram in 2021, Jessica explained, "I knew in this very moment I would allow myself to take back my light, show victory over my internal battle of self-respect, and brave this world with piercing clarity. Personally, to do this I needed to stop drinking alcohol because it kept my mind and heart circling in the same direction and quite honestly I was exhausted."

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Nov. 1 he has apologized to President Donald Trump for an ad run by a provincial government that angered the U.S. leader and prompted him to put a halt to trade negotiations.

"I did apologize to the president," Carney told reporters in South Korea.

The ad, which was run by the Ontario provincial government and not by the Canadian federal government, was played during World Series games and featured a snippet of remarks by former President Ronald Reagan in 1987. In the remarks, Reagan spoke critically of tariffs. The ad included the conservative icon's accurate remarks, but spliced select phrases from a longer address. Trump has criticized it as "FAKE."

1 / 11Canadians fighting Trump's tariffs, surge in patriotismAlain Ejeil and his wife Joyce Takla at their Bidon Taverne Culinaire in St. Lambert, Quebec in the Montreal area at the bar. Ejeil stopped buying American food items and pulled U.S.-made wines and spirits from his shelves back in February after President Donald Trump started to taunt Canada with the threat of tariffs and American statehood. It wasn't an easy decision, he said, but as a Canadian, it was the right thing to do.

In response, Trump announced on social media he was terminating trade negotiations with Canada, and claimed the ad misrepresented Reagan's views. He also announced a 10% increase on tariffs on goods coming from the United States' neighbor to the north. His move came as the president has imposed sweeping tariffs on imports from countries including Canada, and as the Supreme Court on Nov. 5 is set to hear oral arguments in a case that will decide the fate of the tariffs.

Trump, tariffs and the World Series: How a TV ad upended trade talks between U.S., Canada

The ad was commissioned by Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who announced the ad would be paused starting Oct. 27 "so that trade talks can resume."

"I told Ford I did not want to go forward with the ad," Carney said on Nov. 1.

Carney said he made his apology when they both attended a dinner hosted by South Korea's president on Oct. 29. Trump has said he had a "very nice" conversation with Carney at that dinner.

What did the ad show?

The 60-second ad condensed remarks made during a longer speech by Reagan in an April 25, 1987 radio address, days after he increased tariffs on some Japanese imports in response to Japan violating a semiconductor trade agreement. In that talk, Reagan made it clear he is not a fan of tariffs.

"When someone says, 'Let's impose tariffs on foreign imports,' it looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting American products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while, it works, but only for a short time," Reagan said in the ad.

The White House objected because the ad omitted another part of Reagan's address. "As I've often said," the former president said in the original remarks, "our commitment to free trade is also a commitment to fair trade."

Julia Fox has received criticism for attending a Halloween party dressed as former First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis on the day of her husband, President John F. Kennedy's assassination. The "Uncut Gems" and "Him" actress appeared at the New York City gathering on Oct. 30, donned in a replica of the First Lady's infamous pink suit splattered with fake blood stains. In an Instagram post made the following morning, she posited, "I'm dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement."

Onassis was wearing the pink outfit on Nov. 22, 1963, riding beside her husband in a Dallas parade when he was shot. Images of Onassis crawling over the car with her husband's blood soaking into her elegant attire have become harrowing relics of history. More notoriously, Onassis refused to change out of her clothes when standing next to Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson during his swearing-in ceremony on Air Force One. She reportedly stated, "No, let them see what they've done to Jack."

In her post, Fox says, "The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history. Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation." She praises the First Lady's decision to stay in the same clothes as "an act of extraordinary bravery. It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once. A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It's about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance."

Not everyone saw Fox's outfit as a tasteful tribute, though. She received backlash for the controversial costume from many critics online, including Kennedy and Onassis' grandson, Jack Schlossberg. Schlossberg wrote on Twitter, "Julia Fox glorifying political violence is disgusting, desperate and dangerous. I'm sure her late grandmother would agree."

The real pink suit resides in the National Archives outside of Washington, D.C. It is being kept from public display until the year 2103, a century after it, along with Onassis' other personal effects from the day of her husband's death, were donated to the Archives. Onassis passed away in 1994.

A Mississippi man is facing backlash after he admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from his son's savings account.

Christian, a 28-year-old postal worker from Biloxi, appeared on the Oct. 29 episode of Financial Audit, a podcast hosted by financial advisor Caleb Hammer in which a weekly guest gets grilled on their personal finances — often with a heavy dose of tough love.

In the episode, Christian admitted that he paid for a number of family trips — to places including Disney World and the Bahamas — on credit cards, but then decided he didn't want to pay the high interest rates on the loans.

He said he then "raided" his 4-year-old son's savings account, which contained "$8K-$10K," to pay off the credit cards immediately. He noted that a portion of the money in the account had come from friends and relatives who intended that the money be used for the child's future.

"I figured I valued building memories with him and taking him on experiences — it was worth it," Christian said during the conversation, also stating that he viewed the money as "a zero percent loan."

"I figured he's 3, 4 now. He won't know," he continued, adding that he plans to pay back the money before his son is grown — while also admitting that he has already racked up more credit card debt.

Christian said he made the decision without telling his wife.

"She doesn't approve. I didn't ask for her permission before I did it," he explained. He also noted that his wife recently rejoined the military to help their family pay off their roughly $90,000 worth of debt.

Commenters on the episode were quick to share their thoughts on Christian's decision to use money meant for his son.

"The way I GASPED when he said $8-10K in the kid's account, and he took it all," one person said.

"Like stealing candy from a baby. Except you're stealing from your literal baby," another person added.

Someone else called the interview a "wake-up call."

"This man is scary. He has the same job as me, makes the same amount of money and has the same vice," the person said. "The only difference is that I don't have a wife and child. This video feels like a massive wake-up call. Thank you."

"I'm glad he was able to take his son on those trips since he's probably gonna be losing custody in the divorce soon," someone else said sarcastically.

A Catholic diocese in Pennsylvania has apologized for Holocaust imagery that appeared on a Catholic school's Halloween parade float on Thursday.

In a statement Friday, Bishop Timothy C. Senior of the Diocese of Harrisburg condemned the float, which was presented by St. Joseph Catholic School in Hanover, Pennsylvania, at the town's Halloween parade. He said he was "shocked and appalled" it included a replica of the Auschwitz concentration camp gate bearing the words "Arbeit Macht Frei."

The German phrase translates to "work makes you free," according to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial website. "It has become almost a symbol of the concentration camp," the website says. The motto was introduced at the Dachau concentration camp in 1933 and was quickly adopted by other Nazi camps including Auschwitz.

"The inclusion of this image — one that represents the horrific suffering and murder of millions of innocent people, including six million Jews during the Holocaust — is profoundly offensive and unacceptable," he said.

The original, approved design for the float did not include the Holocaust imagery, according to Senior.

"On behalf of the Diocese of Harrisburg, I express my sincere apology to our Jewish brothers and sisters and to all who were hurt or offended by this display," Senior said. "I strongly condemn the inclusion of this symbol on the float."

Senior said that he will work with the school community to review the approval processes to prevent "such a grievous incident" from happening again.

The apology comes amid heightened sensitivity around antisemitic acts. Days earlier, a man wearing a Nazi uniform was accused of assaulting a Jewish student outside a University of Georgia bar after being denied entry for his costume. He was later arrested and charged.

St. Joseph Catholic School did not immediately respond to NBC News' request for comment.
