Burger King shut by health officials as disgusting conditions are revealed

Health officials shut down a Burger King after they found raw sewage coming up through a drain in the kitchen. The grim discovery was the most serious of of five violations at the Hernando, Florida location. 'Sewage/wastewater backing up through floor drain in kitchen in between hand wash sink and food bagging area,' inspectors from Florida wrote. 'Observed employees walking through wastewater to bag orders.' Other concerns included an overflowing dumpster, water leaking from the ceiling into the dining area - where buckets were placed to collect the drips - and a dirty floor with standing water.
