Former MLB pitcher Mark Mulder has labelled San Francisco an 'absolute hell hole' after NFL rookie Ricky Pearsall was shot in a failed robbery attempt in the city. Pearsall, who was selected by the 49ers in the first round of this year's NFL Draft, took a bullet to the chest on Saturday night after being targeted for his Rolex watch in downtown San Francisco. The 23-year-old was listed as being in a 'serious but stable condition' before eventually being released from hospital on Sunday.
