It was billed as a chance to, 'step into the enchanting world of the Regency-era'. But Detroit's disastrous Bridgerton-themed ball is going down in history for all the wrong reasons. Fans who shelled out up to $2,000 for the 'evening of sophistication' were left stunned when they were greeted by 'dollar store' decorations, disposable plates and a lone violinist instead of the grand orchestra promised. The only other entertainment was a scantily clad pole dancer, who revealed she was hired just three hours before the event.
