They meet again. Taylor Fritz and his rival Alexander Zverev will are booked for a US Open quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday in Queens, where the two will face off since the Round of 16 at Wimbledon. Fritz overcame a sluggish start to ultimately dominate eighth seed Casper Ruud 3-6 6-4 6-3 6-2 on Sunday, while Zverev beat American Brandon Nakashima, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. It was at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in July where Fritz pulled out a five-set win over the fourth-ranked Zverev, who later appeared to catch some criticism from Fritz's girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, over 2020 domestic abuse claims.
