The annual Ironman World Championship in Hawaii turned treacherous over the weekend as triathletes were forced to navigate a bloom of jellyfish in the Pacific waters surrounding the Big Island. Competitors Menno Koolhaas of the Netherlands and Australia's Matt Burton have both shared their frightening experiences publicly after several rivals were stung on Saturday. Burton believes he had 'an anaphylactic reaction' to a few stings before dropping out of the race to seek medical attention.
