Dear Jana, I recently matched with a guy on a dating app who said he was 45. I'm 38, and my age range is set between 38 and 50, but even 50 is a stretch as I'm not keen to date anyone closer to my Dad's age. We had a great time on our first date and there was a real spark but when he mentioned his upcoming birthday, and I said 'so you will be turning 46' he revealed he would actually be turning 54, not 46 as I thought.
