Verizon goes down for thousands across US with users unable to make calls or use internet
Verizon is down across the US, leaving users unable to make phone calls, send text messages or surf the web. Downdector, a site that monitors online outages, shows issues began around 8am ET with customers reporting mobile phone and internet services are not working. Customers in New York City, Washington DC and Phoenix have reported issues. This marks the second Verizon outage in less than two weeks, with the last hitting in September 30.
