CNBC anchor leaves Paul Ryan stunned after former House speaker pledges to unify party under Donald Trump
CNBC host Joe Kernan ripped Paul Ryan for doing an about-face on Donald Trump and calling for Republican unity during his second term. A former vice presidential nominee and speaker of the House, Ryan was at one point a close ally of Trump in getting his agenda passed in his first go as president. However, Ryan left Congress after Republicans lost the House in 2019 and spoke out in favor of impeachment after January 6, leading Trump to call him a 'pathetic loser.
