President Trump's new Department of Government Efficiency is already under threat of being shut down from lawsuits filed almost immediately after he took office. The DOGE has been one of Trump's most touted plans as he tapped Tesla billionaire supporter Elon Musk to run the newly created agency to help cut waste throughout the federal government. The order creating it was one of dozens of executive orders the president signed with the flourish of a pen on day one back in the White House.
