Surrounded by friends and family, my 45th birthday will be a night of laughter, love – and relief. Not because I've pulled off another of the show-stopping fancy dress costumes I'm known for, but because this party will also mark my goodbye to working life. That's right; my 45th birthday celebrations will double up as my retirement party. Right now I'm just 35, but I've got no intention of working for any longer than another decade.
