Owner of Carrie Bradshaw's NYC apartment takes drastic measures to keep fans away from iconic steps
The owner of the West Village apartment used as the exterior for Carrie Bradshaw's fictional NYC apartment on Sex and the City is taking a stand against the show's fans. According to Gothamist, the owner is asking New York's Landmarks Preservation Commission for permission to install a steel and cast iron gate at the bottom of the brownstone's steps to keep away pesky tourists. Any changes to the building must be approved by local government due to its location in the Greenwich Village Historic District.
