Pete Hegseth was forced to confront allegations of sexual misconduct, infidelity and and heavy drinking during his high-stakes Senate confirmation hearing on Tuesday. The former Fox News arrived on Capitol Hill smiling after a standing ovation and 'USA' chants, but soon protests and chaos broke out as noisy activists were carried out by Capitol Police. Democrats hurled a slew of allegations against him, interrogated his past comments on women in the military and 'woke' policies and suggested he wasn't qualified to lead the government department with a budget of more than $800billion.
