Shamed-faced Miami teacher leaves jail 'after striking boy, 5, in face with ruler'
A teacher in Florida was arrested and jailed after she allegedly struck a five-year-old boy with a ruler - leaving him with a ghastly cut on his face. Chrishawn Nicholson, 25, was pictured walking out of jail in Miami on Friday night covering her face in shame. She was charged with one felony count of child abuse for an incident that occurred in November at Aspire Preparatory Academy. The child's mother, who wished to remain anonymous, told WSVN News that the five-year-old needed three stitches.
