Shocking email editor sent staff telling them to write more to 'offset' colleague's death
An online magazine editor reportedly sent staff members a brazen email, telling them to produce more content to 'offset' their colleague's recent death. Stephanie Holland, a senior staff writer at The Root, died on December 31 at the age of 47, after producing more than 2,000 articles on African-American culture and entertainment for the outlet, according to her obituary. She was remembered by one of her colleagues as 'warm, inviting, funny and no-nonsense, but still gracious and forgiving.
