Two Democrats spark party mutiny by voting with Republicans to ban transgender athletes in women's sports
Democrats joined House Republicans to pass a bill aimed at preventing transgender athletes from competing in girls' sports at schools that receive federal funding. The bill passed 218-206 with the support of every single Republican - and surprisingly two Democrats. Democrat Reps. Vicente Gonzalez and Henry Cuellar of Texas backed the GOP-led measure. North Carolina Democratic Rep. Don Davis voted 'present.' Their support for the MAGA-crafted measure could be a sign of inner Democrat turmoil.
