Emma Stone and Seth Meyers are remembering a long-lost Saturday Night Live sketch that didn't quite land.
Speaking on the Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, the host showed a still photo from a sketch Stone was in
"For me, this is Emma Stone canon," Meyers, 51, said. "But I think maybe less people think of it when they think of you."

Meyers continued: "You did a digital short that I talk about all the time, called 'I Wish It Would Rain.' "
Meyers then held up a photo of Stone, 36 (wearing a comically large prosthetic butt) and then-SNL cast member Andy Samberg in the 2013 sketch.
"This is not in anyone's Top 200 digital shorts," Meyers acknowledged.
"I haven't heard about that video since the night it aired," Stone said, adding, "It was like 15 years ago."
Meyers added, "I love it so much...and everyone should watch it. It immediately doesn't work."
"I thought it was going to work," the host then said, adding that he thought it would be the next "Lazy Sunday," a now-iconic digital short from the show that aired in 2009.
"And then it was just like, crickets," Meyers said.

Meyers then noted that Stone comes in "way late" in the short, and is "not the reason it doesn't work."
"I've seen it only the one time that it aired," Stone said of the digital short. "I need to watch it again."
"Or just let it be the once," joked Meyers.
Stone then turned to the audience to say, "And how about you guys all let it be the once, too? Or the 'not ever'?"
The bizarre sketch focuses on a singer (played by Samberg) who wishes it would rain but, when the weather won't cooperate, is forced to evaluate why his girlfriend left him. Stone plays his assistant in the sketch.
Stone is a member of the famed "Five-Timers Club" and hosted the late-night sketch show for the fifth time in December 2023.
In 2024, during an appearance on The Tonight Show, she revealed that she was shocked to learn that she wouldn't be going home with the special jacket presented to her at the end of her opening monologue.
"That's what's so strange," she explained on The Tonight Show. "I don't wanna blow up their spot because, again, it's my favorite place, but they don't want you to keep the jacket. It's like, a thing!"
