Where the original program, which saw contestants compete across entertainment skills, was a broadcast favorite, the revivalwill stream on Netflix.The show, which will premiere Jan. 13, will be hosted by"Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson.
New episodes of "Star Search" will air live on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET and are set to include realtime voting to save or axe contestants.

Whether the show will have the cache, though, remains to be seen in the era of TikTok and YouTube. "Star Search" rose to popularity at a time when individuals from all over the world couldn't pull out their smartphone and hit record, instantly launching their talent into the world wide web.
