Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner has been protesting his innocence in a series of letters to MailOnline ever since he was linked to her disappearance. In the first five page letter, written from Oldenburg jail where he was sent after being convicted of rape in 2019 and given seven years, he mocked authorities for suggesting he was responsible. German authorities sensationally named him in June 2020 as the man behind the 2007 'abduction and murder' of Madeleine, when she was just three but since then no charges have followed.
