Ron DeSantis reveals his pick to fill Florida Senate seat after Lara Trump withdrew her name
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced who will fill Senator Marco Rubio's seat. For months since Donald Trump revealed Rubio was his selection to lead the State Department there had been an open question as to who would be thrust into the vacating role. Early speculation indicated that the president-elect's daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who recently co-chaired the Republican National Committee during the party's successful presidential cycle. That was until she announced she was no longer seeking the Senate seat just before Christmas.
