Upscale Napa Valley wineries fear Trump's migrant raids could finish them
California vineyards in Napa Valley are worried that President Donald Trump's increased deportations of illegal migrants will devastate their workforce. Just before Trump took office, a US Border Patrol raid in Kern County, over 300 miles away from Napa, targeted farm workers in and around the town of Bakersfield. After news spread that 78 people were taken into custody, the citrus industry in that area of California reported that 75 percent of their workforce haven't been showing up, according to CalMatters.
