A 93-year-old widow who now lives in a care home with dementia is still refusing to sell her house next to Masters golf course, despite being offered an inflated price worth millions by Augusta National owners. Since 1999, owners of the historic golf tournament have ravenously expanded their reach by an extra 270 acres after splashing out $200million (£157m) on Augusta properties, according to the Wall Street Journal. The deals increased the golf club's total land size by 75 percent — and helped make most sellers of the properties extremely wealthy.
