When he and his wife were deciding to hire a nanny, Vencent Hickerson wasn't expecting their choice to be a hot manny
After a few female nannies didn't work out, Hickerson thought of asking his friend AJ Gatio to nanny, who'd previously been a first grade teacher
In a now-viral video, Hickerson joked that he'd wanted a "hot nanny" and was surprised at how it turned out
WhenVencent Hickersonwas looking to hire a nanny, he wasn't expecting to decide on a very attractive, singer-songwriter manny.
In a video posted on Nov. 1 tohis Instagram account, Hickerson — who also goes by Bigg Vinny the Overall Entertainer – shared a series of photos of his wife posing next to his kids' nanny, who was pictured shirtless and flaunting his abs.
"So I told my wife I wanted a hot nanny for the kids," Hickerson joked in a block of text written over the video. "This is how that turned out!!!"
Hickerson, who is also a singer, included another clip of his manny, whose name isAJ Gatio, playing with his kids in a cut-away tank top. "Be careful what you ask for!! lol a little throw back to when@ajgatiowas our#MANNYduring the#pandemic@goforthwellness," the dad wrote in his caption.

Now, Hickerson tells PEOPLE that they'd initially hired Gatio not because of his looks, but because they were struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic and needed help with their kids.
"Basically in the middle of COVID, my wife was pregnant [and] we owned a small gym in Franklin, Tennessee," he explains to PEOPLE. "After the mandatory shut down, we were to month 7 and she was getting to where she needed help with taking care of our 2½-year-old son, but I was running our gym and training our clients each day."
"We had a couple of female nannies. They either ghosted us or had other opportunities come up," continues Hickerson. "So I jokingly said to my good friend AJ Gatio, 'Hey, you should come be the nanny. At least I can count on you and my wife would get to have a hot nanny!'"
The singer explains that Gatio used to be a first grade teacher, but had recently moved full time to being a musician. He told Hickerson that he'd love to pitch in since most of his gigs had been cancelled due to the pandemic.
"AJ would come five days a week, sometimes more, but I guaranteed his compensation on at least five a week so he could be devoted to us during that time," Hickerson explains. "He would literally take my son outside and they would play superheroes, ride his tractor down the hill, look for animals and just have a blast outside."

Hickerson says Gatio was also great at making sure his son Jagger never felt like he was being neglected or left out since his wife was dealing with a lot of sickness during her pregnancy.
"[Gatio] would eat dinner with us at night and he and I would also workout together when my son was napping or when mama felt like having some mama-son time," he continues.
Hickerson says he knows that Gatio is an attractive man and that he "has a way of getting attention for his looks wherever he's at." However, he explains that he was never threatened by Gatio's looks.
"I can't tell you how many times other moms or my wife's friends would be like, 'Umm, who's that and is he single?' " jokes Hickerson. "How many of my guy friends would be like, 'Are you crazy? Why would you let a GQ model stay at your house with your wife?' The answer was pretty simple for me."
He says that he's a confident man and trusts his wife "1000%" and knows she would never do anything to hurt their family. He also said that Gatio is an "awesome human being" who would take a bullet for his wife and kids.

Now, Hickerson says that Gatio still nannies for them occasionally, but has just become a dad himself and is continuingpursuing his music career. They try to balance when they ask him to come help out their family.
"But just last weekend, my wife was away speaking at the 'Hers Women's Summit' in Utah and I had shows to perform," Hickerson remembers. "The girl we had set up to take care of the kids had to bail for personal reasons and without any hesitation, [Gatio] came and stayed Friday and Saturday night with my kids. And they had a blast!"
