Rexha, 36, shared a series of posts to X over the weekend joking about her success level as a pop star in the music industry, and she responded to one fan who suggested she ask Swift, 36, to manage her career.
The conversation started when the "Meant to Be" singershared a meme of the Grim Reaperpreparing to unlock Rexha's door after freeingTinashe,Tate McRae,Sabrina Carpenter,Charli xcxandZara Larssonfrom the "Khia Asylum." [The term is internet slang for an area where pop stars are kept until they find major success, inspired by "My Neck, My Back" rapper Khia.]
"Guys please help me. It's so lonely in here," wrote Rexha alongside the edited image.

The Grammy-nominated artist alsoshared a voice memotitled "Khia asylum day 3051," which found her acting as though she's trapped in the physical "Khia Asylum" and wondering how to escape.
"I heard Sabrina got out. Zara, Charli, they left. They never looked back. And my fat ass, flop ass is still in here," said Rexha in the comedic clip, joking that she's required to run on a treadmill in high heels every day.
Rexha then replied to posts from various fans and haters about her place in the music industry, before announcing she'sno longer signed to Warner Recordsand now operates as an independent artist.
A couple of fans offered suggestions for Rexha's future, including one who brought up the idea for Swift to manage her career. "That's actually genius," wrote the "I'm Good (Blue)" performer in response.
The two artists have interacted in the past. In a 2019 interview with PEOPLE,Rexha opened up about chatting with Swiftat the MTV VMAs that same year.
"It was really nice. I was listening to her, but I was a little in shock. I was like, "Holy f---." Taylor Swift was telling me that I'm awesome," she said at the time. "I'd had a couple of drinks, and I was nodding and she was talking to me, but I was like, 'Thank you.' But I know that we had a nice moment. She's cool. I had never gotten to meet her, and I don't really know her like that yet, but she seems real, in person. She really does."
Rexha's last album,Bebe, was released in 2023. Her latest single, a collaboration with Netsky called "Light That Leads Me," came out in 2025.
