Robert Irwin is coming back to TV
The Dancing with the Stars champ confirmed that he is co-hosting Australia's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, which arrives on Jan. 18 in his home country
The move comes less than two months after he and pro partner Witney Carson took home the Mirrorball Trophy on DWTS season 34

The wildlife conservationist and newest Mirrorball Trophy champion, 22, is heading to South Africa for the next season of Australia'sI'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, which he's been co-hosting since 2023 alongsideJulia Morris.
While Irwin wasconfirmed to be returningto the show back in November, he officiallyteased his involvementon Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 11, as he shared a behind-the-scenes video and said the "best season yet" is arriving on Sunday, Jan. 18. His television return comes less than two months after hisDancing with the Starswin.
"Welcome back to South Africa," Irwin said in the clip. "We have a brilliant new season ofI'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Herecoming to you, Australia, Jan. 18. This season, we are changing things, we're upping the ante. Making a bit of a plan right now."

He added the new season, set to air on the country's Network 10, is "one to watch because it's going to be the most intense season we've ever had, the most challenging, the most emotional. And our celebrities, holy moly, they're gonna get a run for their money."
Irwin has also secured some new fans for the show after hisDWTSrun, including dance partner and fellow champWitney Carson, who left a comment under his Instagram clip. "Oh I can't wait," she wrote.
Carson, 32, and Irwin won the Mirrorball Trophy during theDWTSseason 34 finale, which aired 10 years after Irwin's sister, Bindi, won season 21 with partnerDerek Hough.

Irwin also teased his return toI'm a Celebrityin a clip shared by co-host Morris, 57, as he reflected on all he's been up to since last season — from hisDWTSappearance to hisBonds underwear campaign. "There was a bit going on then I suppose, hey," he joked.
TheDWTSwinner commemorated his return to Australia on Jan. 8 as he introduced his Mirrorball Trophy to some residents of the Australia Zoo, which the Irwin family owns and operates. "The mirrorball has made it home - had to show my friends what I've been up to 🪩🐨" he captioned the post,alongside a videoof himself showing the prize to a koala, bird and snake.

Also after his win, and his movie debut inZootopia 2, Irwin announced a "passion project" at theAustralia Zoo. In December, he revealed that he was "heading back home" to work with theCrocodile Hunter Lodgeat the zoo, which opened in 2022.
TheDWTSchamp previously told PEOPLEthat seeing his sister claim the title a decade before him was particularly special as it was also an opportunity to spread the message about the Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors, their charity.
"It's about making the world a better place. And when I watched her lift that Mirrorball, I saw her lifting that message," he said.
