Sharon Stonethinks we should all take a page out ofTaylor Swift'sbook, and we think you'll be hard-pressed to disagree with her reasoning.
The iconic actress dedicated a portion of her acceptance speech at the 9th annual Astra Film Awards late last week, where she was presented withthe Timeless Award—an honor that "celebrates her enduring impact on film and television while reflecting on alifeand career defined by achievement, innovation, and influence"—tothe "Fate of Ophelia" songstress, applauding her positive influence on the industry.
TheBasic Instinctstarspoke for nearly 10 minutesabout the concept of being "timeless," calling Swift a perfect example.
Stone Sees Swift as a Role Model for Being a 'Decent Person'
"You know why you likeTaylor Swift?" she asked, going on to declare, "Because she's decent."
"Be decent," Stone encouraged. "That is what it means to be timeless. Be a decent person, and when you're on the road, don't use those rules, 'What goes on the road, stays on the road.' Because you know what? It doesn't. You carry it home in your consciousness. You carry it home to yourfamily, and you carry it home to your friends. Carry home someone you're proud of."

The Musician Is Often Recognized for Being 'Decent'
Swift, of course, is known for her kindness. She often goes viral for the way she treats her fans, her team, and even the folks who happen to be working in her general vicinity.
Just recently, an Eras Tour worker recalled howshe pulled through for the stadium employeesfollowing a particularly "disgusting" concert, while an Arrowhead employee detailedher kind gesture for those working during the Kansas City Chiefs' Christmas Day game. She was alsocaught on camera passing out cash to employees on her way out of a Grammy'safter party earlier this year, and oncetipped a ticket taker at the Buffalo Bills' Highmark Stadium one hundred dollars.
It racked up countless views every time shepaused her set during her record-breaking concert tourtocall for help from the stage when fans were in troubleorcommend venue stafffor "taking such good care of everybody."

Not to mentionthe generous bonuses she provided her crew with, orher "incredibly powerful" charitable donations, quietlycontributing to food banksalong her tour route, and evenaccidentally inspiring over one million dollars in donationsto the Monteray Bay Aquarium.
As Stone also noted in her speech, "Fame without awareness, successwithout purpose is pointless...Do something with what you have. Use your talent and become a purpose. The only thing that matters in this life is what you do with what you've got."
Clearly, Swift got the memo.
